[00:03:16] This is the second appearance on the show to welcome Dale Katz-Maric. Pretty much everyone in the field knows who he is president of the long running ghost research site.
[00:03:25] And accomplished all around paranormal investigator author speakers been on numerous radio shows and TV shows mentor to many of us including myself. So let's go ahead and bring him in. And we have a lot to talk about tonight, which I'm looking forward to Dale. How are you?
[00:03:44] I'm doing great. How are you? I'm doing good. It's Thursday toward the end of the week. So we're doing pretty good and so I know I thought I'd start off with this and I know you want to talk about enough coming up.
[00:03:57] And I'm going to talk about the first time we're not in up coming on an investigation that you did on October 8th. But let's go ahead and because this is coming up talk about the Midwest spirit fast. I looked it up on the website. It looks like a phenomenal conference so tell us about that.
[00:04:12] It was here. Fest is going to be an all day event hosted by myself and and how it was the venue owner at the Thornton just dilling in Thornton, Illinois. It's going to be on October 16th, which is a Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
[00:04:31] We have a whole bunch of very top-not speakers are going to be there giving presentations on everything from spirits along the rock river and rock through to out of body experiences of ghosts of the black hawk wars.
[00:04:50] American ghost walks and Chicago hauntings haunted cemetery and preservation beyond the veil the stories of a haunted history tour guide. And paranormal pickers, diamonds and dunes and even one on a beach of boards so we got a lot of things going on.
[00:05:09] That's a plethora of different speaking topics. I mean, if I lived closer, I definitely go. This is absolutely amazing. And I read to that there's an artesian well on the property. If I read that right from the 1800s, do you know the history on that?
[00:05:26] Yeah, the artesian well had always been there. This building actually goes back to the 1800s or so. It was founded by a guy named John Bealefeld. So it's actually called the Bealefeld Barrier on time.
[00:05:40] It went through a lot of different changes including the white bear brewery and a lot of others. This is during the time sometimes around a prohibition. So you know this is a south side kind of area and you'll you know south side king at that time was alcohol and
[00:05:55] And he didn't know kind of like crowding the space. So we kind of let this one low level gangster named Joe Sultis pretty much run his brewery as long as he didn't expand too much of the history territory.
[00:06:07] But the artesian well it runs literally 24 seven and as some of the purest tasting water so it obviously is a real good for brewing beer and other spirits and so forth.
[00:06:20] It's also besides the running water it's completely the room itself is an arch room made of lime stone. So you have a running water connection and there've been a lot of strange things that have happened. In fact, back in history.
[00:06:36] According to the Thornton Historical Society when the place it closed down for a bit was kind of in between owners they were doing some renovation knocking down some walls and they actually came across a skeleton inside one of the walls.
[00:06:52] Which they were never able to identify but they assumed it might be somebody who would double cross the mob. Yeah, I would make sense right. Oh my gosh.
[00:07:02] Or older is what it was called little McLuries had all kind of things including seeing full body depiritions shadow figures and things moving about so it's not only a lot of speakers we're going to be doing investigations in the haunted well.
[00:07:16] We're going to be having raffles, psychics going to be reading all day long we have a number of touch not psychics including doing spoon bending, taro cards palm readings astrologers.
[00:07:32] So it's a lot of stuff to go through the whole day it's never ending we're going to shoot vendor room so vendors can sell their wares and it's going to be a great event I think.
[00:07:46] Yeah it sounds like it. It's going to be fantastic covering like all the different angles and in the paranormal and I imagine putting this together you know I've heard from other people that put conferences together I mean it's time consuming.
[00:07:59] So did you envision the idea of doing this and I'm sure you're probably going to you know do it next year and the year after and and what not because it sounds like a phenomenal event.
[00:08:10] It was kind of a joint joint you know jointly came up on by myself and Andy how. I had investigated this place in the past when it was called widow McLuries.
[00:08:25] I had asked for we had one of our members comes from England. He's Paul Adams at the front of my.
[00:08:35] Yes he was coming into to you know it's a very first time in late May and I showed them all around all the places you wanted to go including going to to japan Missouri to see the spotlight and other places like that.
[00:08:48] He wanted to see he was interested in gangsters and gangster history so I showed them all the gangsters spots in Chicago and this was one of them. So we actually were able to contact Andy he allows to go down there and do a little.
[00:09:00] Many investigation in the well and Paul was here and then not soon after that we came up with the idea that maybe a big idea to try something you know as far as paranormal convention here.
[00:09:10] And we need more of those and it's you know there's a lot in the Midwest and and East Coast but Pacific Northwest has a couple that are really good but it's weird California really is lacking a map department so we definitely need more.
[00:09:25] More events and a spookla you mentioned spooklites and I've always found these very interesting there's one and I'm of course in San Diego so there's one in Berigo Springs desert which is about two hours east from me.
[00:09:38] So and you've done a lot of research on spooklites what are the various theories as to you know how they're caused and if if a lot of them have a paranormal origin.
[00:09:49] Well, a lot of the folklore behind spooklites it has to do with you know somebody losing their head and some sort of bizarre accident that one of the most once was was to ball when a jole ball wants like to make a light north Carolina the conductor that would.
[00:10:05] trying to stop an oncoming train and he was supposed to be capitated and now people see what looks like a lantern light trying to wave off on coming trains in the de area kind of.
[00:10:17] it was actually seen by Grover Cleveland or what of our presidents on a campaign trail and he said Mr. Mr. yes the conductor what's that light is the Mr. President that's Joe Baldwin's life.
[00:10:27] So we actually had a very famous person see that but other other possible explanations have often been badly about including you know car headlights and car kale lights swamp gas will of the with. Fox fire which is a gas given off by decaying wood.
[00:10:46] Foss gene some even say ball lightning which is extremely rare for now. I've investigated quite a number whenever I wrote my book a little minute to darkness to mystery spooklites that's a phenomenal book my goodness amazing read.
[00:11:01] So the one I I seem to have some of the most successful is the jobless spoke life that I've been to a lot of different places now we went to job with Paul and unfortunately didn't show up in our supported.
[00:11:14] But Paul says he was just happy to be there at the spot where all this all is taking place in the past and we might go back down there that way again, but I've actually debunked a few spoke lights including one of water's me Michigan and simply car headlaces and car kale lights.
[00:11:30] I've actually been to Brown Mountain Lights which are very famous in in their history North Carolina I saw a few of those flickering around in very very short live kind of blueish lights.
[00:11:43] I've not seen a lot of other lights unfortunately some of the other lights either have natural explanations or so forth we went down to the garden Arkansas one there it is a like called a garden light and.
[00:11:57] We didn't see anything but I had some cameras set up some 35 millimeter cameras with taking time exposures just keeping the shutter open just clicking holding the shutter open for a while because it was so pitch dark on there.
[00:12:10] I didn't see anything at the time until it developed the film and sure enough there's some lights dancing around out there. That's awesome that's so sweet and I'm wondering too if you know all this technology and if increased pollution may lend to more sightings of it.
[00:12:29] Yes, sometimes it doesn't unfortunately you know there there were a lot of people that especially with the famous hookerman light.
[00:12:39] That they said it was soon one set of railroad tracks and they thought that there was something because of the the middle of the train tracks there was causing some sort of electrical.
[00:12:51] The station or discharge or something and that's what was causing the lights but sometimes you know atmospheric anomalies or atmospheric disturbances like pollution small. Whatever the case may be actually detours a lot of his food flash you see him a lot less than you normally would.
[00:13:12] We were there at one location. Trying to think of what it was we had a big fall back to suddenly we're whole land.
[00:13:21] Nothing that night and a couple times when they're done with jumping in the series you know years both years ago, but it was very very active out there.
[00:13:29] People would drive up and down the road which is the gravel road and they just stir up all this dust in the air and you just can't cover all your equipment all your cameras so you don't get dirt on them and debris and then.
[00:13:43] You have to wait until all the settles that down before you can actually see down the road again. Yeah, one of these days I'd like to get to Joplin. I just you know it spook lights have always fascinated me.
[00:13:55] I don't know why I just you know not knowing what their origin is and just in the areas they appear just like super fascinating for me. And speaking of investigations I'm sure Paul had an amazing time when he was out here.
[00:14:08] I think he was out here for what about two weeks. Yeah, that's the wow. I mean he probably got to see pretty much every amazing historic on a location in the Midwest so that's that's awesome.
[00:14:21] But speaking of an investigation you just did one I think you said October 8 that was fascinating let's talk about that. Sure this was in Downstate Illinois it's kind of an underscores location so unfortunately I can't say where it was downstate Illinois.
[00:14:38] And we do that specifically so other teams can get in there if we if we start you know letting you know sort of the cat out of the bag and everybody's going there and creating all kind of problems and so forth.
[00:14:51] But we were down there with a group of individuals and a few other people from. Individuals that I know like Sylvia Sholes I might have met her she was down there with the Jeannie Chilton who was down from Missouri area and and Dean Thompson from.
[00:15:07] Allton was down there as well and a few other people and this building was pretty interesting we it's a four four building we had access to the building pretty much all night. It's abandoned but it's in very, very good shape. And throughout the evening we were.
[00:15:29] There was some really amazing things that happened to us things that I have never experienced before and I'm saying a lot.
[00:15:37] And as we kind of walking down the the corridors we would begin to hear a disembodied voices which is always something that fascinated me when you can hear but your own two ears absolutely. See like it was first it was a woman kind of going like.
[00:15:55] Here that and not soon after that there was like a conversation between a man and a woman it was it was not nearby was kind of muffled.
[00:16:07] So we started to walk in the direction of where we thought the silence coming from we came to a cross road and then it was off to the left so we took the left and we walked on a little bit further we stopped and listen.
[00:16:18] And we had to make a right turn and we walked a little bit like past two cross roads of two intersections more or less and then it went off to the right again. So it was like whatever was there was kind of leading us through this building.
[00:16:33] That's what it sounds like yes that never experienced before I mean a disembodied voices that I've encountered in the past like a trans Allegheny or other locations have been very, very short live they're just a scream or or yeah or some sort of.
[00:16:48] Words and it's about it this was like I'm ongoing muffled conversation when we finally got to the area we thought it was we all stopped again.
[00:16:58] And we didn't hear anything so we there was a door in front of us and you can see on an eater door you know like if somebody came up and do you see their shadow or something.
[00:17:11] There in all of a sudden we are all still we hadn't moved and we hear.
[00:17:16] Like somebody on the other side of the door it's a concrete floors you know so I mean a real easy to hear and we opened the door of course there's nobody there and we were the only people in this in this building. So a little bit further down.
[00:17:33] There were another door and it's like a dual door one opens this way what opens this way and we're trying to push on the door and it's not opening.
[00:17:43] So one person had been there before he said well I know how to get around I'll go around and see if I can open the door from there inside and he said he just pulled like two fingers in the door opened. Oh my god now.
[00:17:55] The door we couldn't get it open and it wasn't locked it wasn't latched or nothing like that so something maybe had been holding the door shut didn't want us to get in there. We heard knocks we heard.
[00:18:09] You know kind of wraps and noises throughout the evening we had several pieces of equipment actually go off. I was actually sitting down in one of the hallways and we were all kind of being kind of quiet they just finished kind of doing an EBT session.
[00:18:25] And I kind of looked off to my left and because something had caught caught in the corner of my eye and I look over there and I see this. The best way I can describe it is like like a white light anomaly.
[00:18:37] I feed off five feet off the ground kind of shoot from right to left directly from my line of path and I turn my head.
[00:18:46] And of course it's not there anymore now was I actually had to keep my camera my 4K camera filming down that direction and I actually had a zoomed in at that point. And I needless like I got to see right away my car it didn't worth.
[00:19:00] I believe it or not in the camera but you know it's not showing it on the panel.
[00:19:04] But it showed up in my eye ball and that happens sometimes and you know when you take photographs a lot of times people will take a photograph of something they don't see something that shows up on the film.
[00:19:16] Sometimes you have to sit as true when you see something and you photograph it it doesn't show up on the film. I only had that happened one under time when I was in a cemetery in Southland City, Missouri when I saw strange miss a.
[00:19:29] You know right in front of my face kind of bobbing around this grave here and then I took a picture with infrared film. You know and then got the films about there's nothing there.
[00:19:40] Oh that's you know it's weird how that happens do you have any theories on that because I mean I I've experienced that as well it's just it's baffling when it does. No I'm kind of mystified myself unless it's in a point that okay.
[00:19:55] The ghost is saying hey you see me but now I'm not going to show up it's somehow there's you know it's just the opposite when you don't see them and they don't you know make eyeball eyeball contact or something that they show up on film.
[00:20:08] Yeah I mean maybe there's some conscious way to you know if they want to be seen but not necessarily captured on film or audio or whatever I mean this place sounds phenomenal it sounds like a place that needs to be protected so you know responsible teams can go in and not you know irresponsible.
[00:20:27] I'm hoping that on there again next year and to really set up a lot of gear this time. We had quite a number a lot of gear set up you had a lot of.
[00:20:39] You know EMF leaders and cameras and and REM pods and mail meters and you know everything it will set up we had all the equipment we had there and just that.
[00:20:50] I guess you know we all should have been filming since from the time we walked in until the time we left because things seem to be happening pretty much almost all the time you're sitting in this one room.
[00:21:01] And we had this I think it's called a trip light it's like a long light like a like a string that has lights on it and the lights will turn colors when they're affected by EMF.
[00:21:15] I mean all the trip light I might not be correct in what is called and part of it was in this hallway so we went from our room into the hallway to the room across the hallway.
[00:21:28] And all of a sudden somebody said the two lights in the hallway are going off but not in our room and not in the other room so it's not like a shorter something.
[00:21:36] Right it was kind of linking different colors and about that time we heard a noise in that hallway right where that was of course we came out there immediately there was nobody there and the lights went off.
[00:21:49] So something was maybe curious about what what those pretty lights were got kind of close to it and set it off. I love it when you can get two different whether it's a personal encounter or a piece of data and they connect.
[00:22:02] I love it when that happens and you can put those pieces of the puzzle together. I'm wondering too if there's any like environmental geological or anything like that that's contributing to.
[00:22:14] The activity because it sounds like it's a lot of sustained energy there I mean that's I mean to hear a disembodied vocalization almost follow you through the property I mean that's that's rare.
[00:22:24] Yeah, I mean it's it's near it's near a river it's not too far away from a river so they got that running water connection again. I'd have something to do with it.
[00:22:35] There's also been some tragedies that have happened inside this building so again that might also I'm being cryptid as you probably can tell. Yes yes I know yeah I'm trying not to ask questions I would like give it away.
[00:22:48] Basically there has been some activity in there due to you know untimely deaths or people dying in structure so that may contribute to it as well.
[00:23:00] There are obviously you know for us it's light fixtures in here and there are you know said there is still power to the building so that's something you always have to kind of watch out for them.
[00:23:14] Sure that your equipment is not just picking up just the natural energy.
[00:23:19] Tristan in the outlets and the frozen lights but when you basically have a equipment set up where it's dark when you're getting that as well or you have to basically shut off all the switches and you're still getting that.
[00:23:34] Then you can scratch your head and say well that's not causing it then exactly. It sounds like a phenomenal location.
[00:23:40] I'm glad you had a chance to investigate it and you know I like to pick your brain because you know you just have so much experience in this field and so.
[00:23:48] I want to get your thought on you know there's all this newer equipment that's being designed what are your thoughts on that in comparison to some of the older.
[00:23:57] Variety is you know maybe from 10 years ago 20 years ago even or beyond because there's just so much to choose from now. Oh yeah absolutely I mean when I started out I started out with a you know a 35 millimeter camera a cassette tape recorder and.
[00:24:14] There was no camp harder than the basically camp quarters didn't come out or night shot until about 95 96 so. For 20 years I mean I was using just an ordinary you know video camera very bulky video camera in some cases and you know 35 millimeter shooting in for red film.
[00:24:34] My EMF meter at that time was a compass.
[00:24:39] I mean yes you know that's all I use I mean compass will point to true north of us it comes in contact with a strong magnetic field in which case there would deviate to one way or the other exactly so.
[00:24:51] You know later on as there were some things that we were able to pieces of equipment that we were able to purchase such such as you know K to meters. Or I guess you would call themselves sensors the very early doctor gauze meters.
[00:25:11] You know things of that nature you know they're not actually built for ghost hunting there are actually built for other other purposes to pick up magnetic fields in buildings that could be. You know.
[00:25:27] Could affect you or because damage to you because of high EMF so those early pieces of equipment we actually had to kind of adapt to you know in the paranormal so we figured okay there are fields all around us you know electromagnetic fields radio you know microwave cosmic rays gamma rays we can't see any of those.
[00:25:49] If we have a piece of equipment that we set down and suddenly the equipment goes off and then stops what will be pick up we probably picked up a moving electromagnetic field that went past a meter set it off momentarily and then continue that's Mary way.
[00:26:05] But again some of those meters earlier meters would pick up a wide variety even of internal AC fields like electrical outlets fuse boxes things of that nature if you were too close so you got some false readings so those are already pieces of equipment where.
[00:26:24] I guess as best as you could have for being at early but then as later on when people began to design equipment like a bill chapel from digital dozing and many, many other people.
[00:26:36] Those people designed equipment specifically, specifically for ghost hunting and nothing else and that was the purpose of that.
[00:26:49] And that was very refreshing because now you know they were taking into consideration that there are let the electromagnetic fields in the environment that could set off equipment and they made sure that you know like the tri field natural EMF.
[00:27:04] And since it cannot be set off by internal AC fields I mean you can put it right up to electrical outlet to a fuse box that thing will not go off you put it next to a K 2 meter K 2 meter going crazy in the red.
[00:27:18] And that's what you really want you want a piece of equipment that you're not going to get false readings for so the the newer equipment is really neat. I have about close to 15,000 dollars worth of ghost hunting gear. That's impressive now.
[00:27:35] And if you use that 15,000 for something else. You know what you do I mean you do this I mean why not invest but I mean I think one of the best pieces of equipment still is your your body. That's what we're talking about. Absolutely I agree.
[00:27:51] See things you can hear things there can be sensations of cold spots or your you know charge on your body your hair rising up you goosebumps. You can smell thing. I've even actually had one such encounter where I actually think I tasted something.
[00:28:10] I've had that as yet to happen to me everything else yes but not that player guston so I think it is yes. I was in I was in old self Pittsburgh hospital I don't feel where ever they're with us.
[00:28:21] No it's one place I want to go it's on my it's in literally my top five that I haven't been. We went down there one year and a jeanie children was with us and jeanie is a nurse she's an RN.
[00:28:31] And we were in the pharmacy and we were just doing the EPS session all of a sudden I got a really strange taste of my mouth and kind of like a metallic taste.
[00:28:42] And I said I said I'm getting a strange taste and we got to get it on the video I got a strange taste of my mouth and she says what's it tastes like it's like metal metallic she goes that's blood.
[00:28:54] And now it makes sense blood because that's it blood has the kind of metallic teeny taste to it. In the we were in a hospital it makes perfect sense and I've never had it before or since but always with tell people that.
[00:29:10] Most of your senses can be affected except taste but now I got to add taste to that because I mean can come across things is sometimes you taste which is very rare but it does happen.
[00:29:20] Yeah, I've heard there I've talked to a few others who have experienced that I have yet to but it's a gosh you know I mean but that it does make sense that that would be blood.
[00:29:31] I mean it's interesting too that you were in the pharmacy when that happened to yeah yeah that's that's one place it's literally on my top five of locations I haven't yet been to that I want to go.
[00:29:41] So there are probably some of the top locations we get stuff of. In the same as the islands and prisons in the view. Yes totally totally not an eye just on hot voices last week we interviewed.
[00:29:56] The investigators from Nevada state prison and so they were talking a lot about a lot of the experiences that that they've had there was pretty interesting but yeah I mean.
[00:30:06] I've really hills and I haven't been since I went with you guys in 2009 that's a place I definitely want to go back to that was just an awesome awesome night.
[00:30:16] And what's weird about that is I had all these hours of audio and then my audio just completely disappeared I could not upload it I don't know what happened nuts.
[00:30:27] Well that's kind of strange because I will we were done investigating we'll actually up investigating the beast of brain road.
[00:30:36] Yes I've heard that we were up there we had permission to be on Lee Hampels farm we know the guy we were there to say you guys can be on her all night and I was actually video taping something with a flare camera that's look like something standing on two legs and that's what this crypt that is supposed to do.
[00:30:53] And I'm telling everybody look look I'm seeing this is walking right past another investigator and we've signed this you know flashlight on there's nothing there and you to this day I can't locate that footage. Oh man oh. Have you heard. Oh man.
[00:31:14] There's external forces out here that say okay you captured something but now you ain't gonna be able find it over a racist for yourself right.
[00:31:23] I thought sucks when that happens yeah I was so I remember reviewing the audio from Waverley Hills and then when I went to upload it and then I can it just didn't work I was just oh man I was so bummed.
[00:31:36] Wow interesting so I'm wondering when you when you shine to the flashlight when were you saw it standing did it you couldn't see with your own eyes you were just seeing it on the flare right.
[00:31:48] Right I was just saying it on the flare it was probably I would say maybe 50 feet away. It was at the edge of a cornfield.
[00:31:58] We were just facing in the one of one of the areas that this had been seen was along the perimeter of this of this field right on Bray Road and so we had actually been given a guy a tour in you know being pulled by a tractor with a bunch of hay bales on the back.
[00:32:22] And we were stopping he was stopping and showing all the different locations where we are that had been some experiences and that along that that trail past that cornfield was one of them so we had set the flare up.
[00:32:34] And I said well I mean you know the thing would flare it a lot of people under a standard will not pick up cold spots.
[00:32:40] Right it's a contact reading so if it comes in contact with something that's very cold yes it's going to show something up or if it comes in contact with like a human body or something is going to show right red.
[00:32:52] But there was nothing there and this thing was like blue and purple or something. Oh that's nuts and you can literally make out the legs now when you shine the light at it did you see a disappear on the flare was it still there. Well it disappeared.
[00:33:07] Oh well that's so I mean I don't know if this was some. Interdimensional door right that suddenly they just closed a door and they left because that happens a lot with different cryptids like the. Yeah and then the dog man and.
[00:33:24] You know the Momo the Missouri monster a lot of these seem to like they they come and go you know in the week of an eye you know they're like here and then are gone are they stepping into another dimension.
[00:33:36] And I mean if we were there I mean would we be in danger of also stepping in that dimension.
[00:33:41] And I know it's just all these you know once you find something then all these other questions arise and then when you think you have it answered more questions arise it's the most bizarre thing.

[00:38:16] And we were in the dark we were just doing an EVP session and this voice that comes through has to be a true EVP because listen to the.
[00:38:27] The question the response and then immediately another question is asked so nobody heard that until we played it back so yeah we were a bit oblivious to it so let's go ahead and play that one now link in theater. This here with us.

[00:39:43] Right and I always wonder that too if it's who Dini and I believe Nicole Tito and I captured this on our recorders but Lisa did not I think it was her and I think she had her on voice activation so maybe that's why.
[00:39:59] But I mean this is seriously remains to this day the best EVP I've ever heard so leave it to the link in theater also definitely want to get back here that's just a phenomenal place.

[00:40:53] It is partly internet radio and sound banks but also mixes with a reverb and echo effect so it's kind of really strange sounding sometimes and we were down in the basement and I think we were actually in the drug treatment room at the time.
[00:41:09] Wow and we asked the question and we got this really kind of strange like oh, kind of voice that comes through and I'll just let you play to rest of it. Yeah, go ahead and play that. Oh, what was that? Something yeah right. Are you excited for us?

[00:43:09] The minor paranormal activity has taken place there in the past. I'm nothing major, no, you know, full blown, you know, hauntings or apparitions or anything like that. But it's an old building and old building tree, Tain memories sometimes. So we're actually in the basement.
[00:43:24] In one of those one room kind of away from, you know, the rest of them noise from upstairs. And we found the like a little staircase that was like underneath. Leading that used to lead outside has long been closed up.
[00:43:40] So we had a psychic with a Sarah Bacher and you'll hear her voice actually asking the questions and she's saying, you know, kind of I'm a mother come on come out or something or talk to me. And then you'll hear the little girls voice come up come through.
[00:44:02] Hey sweetheart. I know though if you know, we're here to help. You don't have to be afraid. I'm a mommy too. You know do that one more time if you can. Hey sweetheart. I don't know if you know, we're here to help. You don't have to be afraid.
[00:44:34] I'm a mommy too. Wow, these are all come out come out. But you know, I don't know who she was saying that to it's like the girl was saying that the, you know, the EVP.
[00:44:46] And again, we didn't hear that at the time so that was a true EVP. I wasn't like a disembodied voice or something.
[00:44:54] Absolutely, that's a great these are all phenomenal captures and when they kind of point out real quickly, I mean, one thing and really touch it my heartstrings is when I when I pick up children's going to meet you. Yeah, I've heard so many call out mommy.
[00:45:09] I know help me or I'm lost or come out come out or something like that to think that a child goes can still be there. And that crossed over and maybe by herself in a strange place, it really tugs at my heartstrings.
[00:45:22] Me too me I am the same way that it is hard to hear definitely hear child vocalizations. Yeah, you can clearly hear her though he's been a little soft voice. She sounds young too. Maybe like six or seven come out come out that's awesome.
[00:45:37] All right, so the next one is, uh, Elgin casket factory now this is cool. So I think you just have one from this location, but it's the it doesn't work. Right.
[00:45:48] Now this Elgin casket factory has I think we were talking before they started their show a little bit. Yeah, well, this is just to be a true casket factory with a make cast and around how we need to dress it up to be a playwalk through haunted house.
[00:46:00] But people jump out and they scare you and everything. So to have a lot of stuff that doesn't work, I mean, they have like a fuse box that's not hooked up to anything anything kind of like dripping, you know, played blood and
[00:46:11] So for so we were there and we had an SLS camera and a SLS camera. If you see the TV shows, it's something is shown not out air. It shows up next stick figure.
[00:46:23] So we had this stick figure in the distance and he was kind of touching and playing with the fuse box. Oh, wow. If you're there touching a fuse box, can you turn one of the switches on and then you hear the response. Awesome. This is awesome.
[00:46:43] Turn one of the switches. Don't don't work. There you go. I said turn on the switches. It goes in work. That's pretty good. Is it good? That's turn on the chorus. Turn one of the switches. Maybe I don't know more. Don't don't don't work. There you go.
[00:47:12] I said turn on the switches. It goes in work. That's pretty good. I think that's how we got excited when I went. It's something to do with your hand after. This device over and over again produces full sentences in response to what you say. I love it unreal.
[00:47:36] So I initially thought that maybe somebody suggested this, that maybe we're actually broadcasting somehow our answers via Wi-Fi. So we just able the microphone and we're still getting this response. Yeah, see that is phenomenal.
[00:47:52] Just absolutely phenomenal. I love it when you can get full on sentences like this. Awesome. All right. One more. We have time probably for one more. This is Saint Joseph. Let's see. I don't know if you have more than one year. So it's some intern.
[00:48:09] Okay. We were in Saint Joseph's hospital in Lorraine, Ohio, which unfortunately is no longer there. We were in the best of luck. We wanted to go back. But then they tore down and they don't know why.
[00:48:23] So we were in there and the places all wrought wired up with surveillance cameras to keep people out. I think we were in the hospital. So we were actually doing this.
[00:48:38] I think it might have been either a thousand bucks or I think might have been an obelisk in phonetic mode. And somebody had broken in literally broken in and later on they had taken some buckets of pain and spinole. That's terrible.
[00:48:54] It's not everything. So the device that we had registered that somebody just came in the building. But almost like them allerting you. Yeah, exactly.
[00:49:09] Exactly. And see that's their example of how ghost and spirits can be of help to us. That's awesome. That is really cool. Let's go ahead and play that. Some S.O.M.E. Entered. Some. Some entered. That's awesome. That was in dictionary mode. Yeah, I've worked on that.
[00:49:49] Some of that entered. Yeah, have you found that dictionaries better for you than phonetic or is it just six of one? Have it doesn't have the other. Well, I think it's it's much more.
[00:50:01] Fascinating for me in the phonetic mode because phonetic mode does not use to build to dictionary right and has spirit form their own words by pulling it together.
[00:50:12] Vowels and consonants forming words and then making words into sentences. So and then employing the speed synthesizer that's actually in the obelisk. So that requires direct input from something outside.
[00:50:26] Some sort of EMF that's then making some sort of language rather than just pull out an appropriate word in the dictionary. Right, yeah, that's true and I don't know if you were using the read out, but you can clearly hear some in the interred.
[00:50:43] That's that's cool right there it's always need to have a situation where they're trying to alert you or help you in some way that's that's really cool.
[00:50:52] It's actually another one that I think I might have sent you that after some entered it said something like they left or they captured or they something like that because we later found out that security had caught them.
[00:51:11] And the obelisk alerted us that security was taking them up. Oh, that's that's intelligence right here.
[00:51:17] Yeah, absolutely. Wow, oh my god, these are so cool. I mean, I wish we had more time to play more. I want to get to the to the photos and I hope this is going to work you sent three from your collection. So I'm just going to add these hopefully that'll work here and you can see them from your end. [00:51:36] Okay, so let's go ahead. This is oh wow these these are I've seen all of these, but this is this is so cool and what's funny and cute about this one is the guy in the white hat is oblivious to the fact that.
[00:51:47] That's in the way. It's both art. He went ahead and apparently this is a story I have no reason to doubt the story, but the there was a woman living in his house and then she died.
[00:52:01] And then the son or the whoever owned the house was was refurbishing and they were putting on a new rope. They were trying to sell it.
[00:52:08] And they just took this picture of them basically just kind of like tearing off the roof and in the window, you see the the old lady kind of watching them and making sure they're doing a good job. Absolutely.
[00:52:22] And does she I bet she looks just like the woman that passed there. Yeah, it looks like her. Wow, and then you have them in the kind of thing to kind of gray hair.
[00:52:32] Yeah, I mean, I don't believe this to be fraudulent because I know you know I don't know these people in the picture, but I know the woman who sent me the picture who that you know and I know her that she's reputable.
[00:52:48] I don't believe this to be an app or anything like that because you can actually see the center of the.
[00:52:56] The center of the window outside the woman so in the word she's not it's not, you know, she's in front that would have a cure that she's like behind it. So exactly is one of the most interesting ones I've seen.
[00:53:11] Yeah, that's that's an amazing capture going on the you know the construction very too, you know, maybe that made her easier to. I'm through, I don't know about amazing. When people are actually.
[00:53:25] You know, changing the floor plan, you know, changing things in the homes, moving things around it sometimes maybe upsets the spirit because they like to remember the place as they knew it where they were alive. Right absolutely amazing, but you're was this again.
[00:53:42] I don't I don't wreck it like that all my head. Yeah, I was just curious but great great capture let's go on to the next one this is also my goodness wow.
[00:53:55] Yeah, this was actually taken ended up then in home abandoned house out in the middle of nowhere by a group of teenagers who decided that they wanted to just to go out there and try to scare the girlfriends one night.
[00:54:11] And they went out there with some night shot cameras and they were just filming the entire area. The house and so forth. And this is actually a frame from the video so I actually have video of this.
[00:54:29] Basically maybe in a future show, I could give you an edited version of that. I'll tell you.
[00:54:36] This thing actually this figure fading in and fading out which is really amazing what you see is you see the shadow of somebody in the room that's the shadow okay that's really the real person but sitting in the chair.
[00:54:52] Somebody had illuminated this chair with a flashlight and old flashlight because you can see the block in the center where the bulb would be because newer flashlights don't have it because they're early.
[00:55:02] But this is one of two apparitions ever actually caught on that night. The first was being a girl in a doorway that was there for just three frames of three frames and was gone.
[00:55:17] There were only a reason that they found this if they went frame by frame and they found this this little girl or boy I think it's a little girl is actually sitting in the chair with their knees pulled up to their chest like in a fetal position.
[00:55:33] It fades in it fades out it fades back in again and fades out all the things maybe 15 frames. That's you know that's rare to have that.
[00:55:46] It is one of the interesting videos that I've ever seen somebody sent this to me was like a gigabyte or something that they shot and I don't think that they had the know how to fake this because.
[00:56:00] This would take a major production or some some real sophisticated editing software to do something like this and nobody saw it at the time nobody felt anything at the time except they got a little creeped out there was just a middle of nowhere.
[00:56:17] And that's when that's when these phenomenal captures can happen yeah this is one I hadn't seen on your site before this is great as is disturbed one as well.
[00:56:27] Yeah this one was actually taken by me in 1979 with high speed infrared film at a place in Chicago called JNAM's Hallhouse.
[00:56:40] Now JNAM's Hallhouse located on Holstead in Poland Chicago has a long history of paranormal from that one dating back to the time of JNAM's around the early 1900s when she took over the building from being a tenement house.
[00:56:56] And she was worn by people learning that the house would live a tissue of water on the top stairs and otherwise the ghost from the attic would come down and create all sorts of problems. She paid no attention as things began to happen soon after.
[00:57:08] The door opening figures walking around noises and so forth and we were there one evening I went ghost tour when I'm my excursions entity on those tours and I had just stopped always take pictures this is close to Halloween actually so that's expecting anything to show up on Halloween day but you know ghosts can show anytime and day or night.
[00:57:29] And I was just there and I just kind of you know shut over there up to stairs and you can actually see at least four figures. Yes, one by on the far right by the banners there.
[00:57:44] Two on the far left and they look like there's slightly different side because they might be standing on different steps. And the one in the center is the most interesting because he looks like he's he's like like a cow or a hood on its head.
[00:58:00] Yes, I see that. And you can see what looks like his two hands kind of locked together in prayer coming out of the habit and they all were sent my transparent so I didn't see that.
[00:58:15] I would have seen that I would have taken an entire roll of film there of course something that again it was taken with a infrared film which is a very narrow band of infrared light.
[00:58:25] About 400 to 600 nanometers and the nanometers of billionth of a meter says a very narrow bit that of I are like it just to almost able to capture.
[00:58:34] And since that time I've had other people show me images also taken of that staircase, but just ordinary feel that they've captured some strange lights or strange objects and.
[00:58:45] There's a shandleer right to the right you can't see to this picture though, but it's missing the pains in the shandleer. But I've actually seen that shandleer on several occasions on my tour just start to.
[00:58:59] And it's a little bit the other one next to it is not moving at all and it has the pain so you would think the one with the pains might be caught with the the airflow and be moving and not the one that has no pains in it so that whole areas is kind of creepy and.
[00:59:15] Of course the people in Hall Health they don't believe in the ghost stories, you can convince some of that but.
[00:59:21] I mean, you can but you know that's it's not our job to do that, but I mean you think after seeing this photo that they'd be a little bit more. Yeah, I'm into it.
[00:59:32] I mean this has been such an amazing I'd love to have you back of course you're welcome back any time maybe we could do like a spirit photography episode if you want and if you sure but.
